French

Bonjour

Bienevenue à William Stockton

At William Stockton Primary School French is taught on a Wednesday and Thursday in Keystage 2.

Children develop a range of skills including reading, writing, speaking and listening as well as learning about French culture and traditions.

This half term Year 3 and 4 will be focusing on French greetings and how to introduce ourselves in French. Year 5 and 6 will focusing on classroom instructions, naming and writing about objects you might find in a classroom and comparing schools in France and England.

DON' T FORGET ... FRENCH is all around us!

If you are out and about with your children you may see some French language that they recognise. It could be a restaurant name, a shop, an item in a supermarket. If you are able to take a photograph saying where and when they saw this we can paste it into our big book "French is all around us".
